FAHRENHEIT REPAIR AND INSTALLATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

In today's fast-paced business environment, companies had to adapt to technological advancements for efficient operations. Traditional methods of document management such as passing hard copies and used of logbook to record transactions elapsed time. Monitoring and evaluation were essential for assessing organizational performance relying on accurate data. Fahrenheit Service Center faced challenges with its paper-based operation that led to errors and delays in its transactions. To fix this, a system was developed to automate the processes, reduced errors, and improved efficiency in providing services to customers. The objectives of the project were to analyze, design, develop, test, and implement a reliable system that helped the company record the transactions efficiently and accurately. The developed system was based on the waterfall method where the development phase could not begin until the previous phase was completed. Each phase served as a foundation for the next, ensured a thorough and systematic progression towards the completion of the project. This web-based application was for the company employees, with separated mobile apps for customers and technicians. The researchers had interviewed, observed and asked questions through surveys to respondents on the usability, sustainability, effectiveness and functionalities of the system. Feedbacks from the respondents such as the fahrenheit staff, technicians, customers and IT experts indicated a positive result. The staff and technicians found the system very helpful and productive to used in worked. The customers perceived very useful and very easy to use. IT experts recognized the system as very usable, very sustainable and maintainable. By embracing technological solutions, Fahrenheit Service Center could enhanced its operations, improved customer service, and stay competitive in the repair and installation services sector.

iAlumni: A Web-Based Interactive Alumni Management System for Negros Oriental State University

Alumni play a crucial role in supporting the long-term development of higher education institutions through mentorship, collaboration, and institutional engagement. However, Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) currently faces challenges in maintaining an updated and centralized alumni database due to reliance on manual processes and fragmented record-keeping. These limitations result in outdated information, inefficient communication, and missed opportunities for collaboration among alumni, students, and the university. This study proposes the development of iAlumni: A Web-Based Interactive Alumni Management System, designed to centralize alumni data and enhance engagement through a digital platform. The system integrates key features such as alumni registration and profile management, interactive directories, real-time announcements, job postings, private messaging, and event management. It also includes administrative dashboards to support efficient data management, monitoring, and reporting. The primary objective of the system is to improve alumni information management, strengthen communication channels, and foster meaningful connections between alumni, students, and university stakeholders. By replacing manual processes with a structured and accessible web-based solution, the system aims to increase alumni participation, improve data accuracy, and support institutional requirements such as graduate tracking and accreditation. Overall, the proposed iAlumni system is expected to enhance alumni relations at NORSU, promote collaboration and networking opportunities, and contribute to institutional growth by leveraging alumni as active partners in academic and professional development.

Integrated Event Planning Management System for D’Dream Production

This project focused on modernizing the operational workflows of D'Dreams Production and Events, a small-to-medium enterprise in the Municipality of Tayasan. The organization previously relied on a fragmented ecosystem of manual tools, such as physical logbooks and unlinked digital documents, which often resulted in booking conflicts and delayed client communication. The researchers developed a dual-interface web application built on a RESTful API architecture using the Laravel and React.js stack. The system features a constraint-based recommendation engine that suggests optimized event packages based on client-defined parameters like budget, motif, and guest count. Additionally, it automates administrative tasks such as contract generation via the domPDF engine and provides real-time booking to prevent scheduling overlaps. The study demonstrated that transitioning to a centralized digital hub reduces administrative entropy and enhances the business's scalability and professional image.

NORSU Calendar System: Digital Scheduling and Event Management

This project addresses the persistent challenges of manual scheduling and facility reservation at Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) Main Campuses I and II. Traditional paper-based methods led to frequent double bookings, communication delays, and limited visibility of venue availability. To resolve these issues, the researchers developed a centralized, web-based digital platform built using a modern technology stack, including Next.js and Tailwind CSS for the frontend, Laravel for the backend, and MySQL for data management. Key technical features include automated conflict detection to prevent overlapping schedules, role-based access control for secure user management, and an integrated approval workflow for streamlined coordination. Evaluation of the system using ISO/IEC 25010 standards demonstrated high performance and user acceptance. End-users and IT experts rated the system as "Very Functional," "Very Efficient," and "Very Usable," citing fast response times of 1 to 2 seconds and a significant reduction in administrative paperwork. The study concludes that the NORSU Calendar System successfully modernizes campus operations, providing a reliable and transparent environment for academic and extracurricular event management.

Design and Implementation of a Budget Control System for the Provincial Engineer’s Office of Negros Oriental

Effective budget control is essential in ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficient utilization of public funds, particularly in government offices responsible for infrastructure development. However, the Provincial Engineer’s Office of Negros Oriental currently relies on manual processes and basic spreadsheet-based systems for managing budget allocations and project expenditures. These traditional methods result in delays, inconsistencies in reporting, limited real-time monitoring, and increased risk of errors, ultimately affecting decision-making and overall financial management. This study proposes the design and implementation of a Budget Control System, a web-based solution that automates and centralizes key financial management processes within the office. The system is designed to support budget allocation, expense tracking, project assignment, and financial reporting, while also providing dashboards for real-time monitoring and analysis. It aims to enhance transparency, improve data accuracy, and streamline reporting procedures. The primary objective of the system is to improve the efficiency and reliability of budget management by replacing fragmented manual practices with an integrated digital platform. The system will also enable administrators and engineers to monitor project expenditures more effectively and ensure alignment with approved budgets. A pilot implementation will be conducted to evaluate the system’s usability, performance, and impact compared to the existing processes. Overall, the proposed Budget Control System is expected to strengthen financial control, support better decision-making, and promote accountability in the use of public resources. The study also demonstrates how information technology can be leveraged to improve public sector financial management and serve as a model for other local government units.

Capstone Project Repository and Management System for Students in NORSU

Capstone projects serve as a critical component of higher education, showcasing students’ ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application. However, at Negros Oriental State University (NORSU), the management of these projects is predominantly handled through manual and fragmented processes, resulting in inefficiencies in submission, monitoring, storage, and retrieval. The absence of a centralized system limits accessibility to previous works, hinders collaboration, and contributes to duplication of research topics and loss of valuable academic outputs. This study proposes the design and development of a Capstone Project Repository and Management System, a web-based platform that centralizes the submission, organization, monitoring, and archiving of capstone projects across various academic programs in NORSU. The system aims to provide students with a structured environment for submitting deliverables, collaborating with group members, and receiving timely feedback from advisers. For faculty members, it offers tools for tracking project progress, evaluating outputs, and ensuring compliance with academic requirements. Additionally, the system incorporates a digital repository that securely stores completed capstone projects, enabling efficient retrieval through search and filtering functionalities. This feature promotes knowledge preservation, supports research continuity, and provides future students with access to relevant academic references. The study focuses on developing a user-friendly and secure platform using appropriate web technologies within the university’s available resources. Overall, the proposed system is expected to enhance the efficiency of capstone project management, improve communication between students and advisers, and strengthen institutional knowledge management at NORSU by transforming traditional practices into a centralized and accessible digital solution.
